How can the construction quality of PE pipelines be improved?

Strict on-site management is essential to guarantee PE pipeline construction quality. Carry out full inspection of pipes and electrofusion fittings upon arrival, adopt proper transportation and shaded storage to avoid scratches and UV aging. Prepare flat trench bases with sand bedding, clean and trim pipe ends before welding, and strictly implement standardized electrofusion or butt fusion parameters. Do not shift pipelines during the cooling period of joints.

Standardized laying, backfilling and testing procedures are also indispensable. Reserve expansion clearance to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction. Backfill with fine sand in layers and keep sharp stones away from pipe walls. Complete hydrostatic or air tightness tests before final burial. Mark pipeline routes clearly to prevent accidental excavation and mechanical damage in later stages.
